Just another day of MTT & Golf!

I thought that I would put together an hour of tapping for all the things that run through my mind while golfing. As you know, Golf is totally a mind game, hitting the ball is child's play compared to trying to settle down the mind. So, what I did was to do a pre-game tapping session on myself and this is basically how it went.

I first did the movie technique and saw myself on the Golf range, as I did, things came to mind as of what I say to myself(self talk)....example: "I am not good enough to play a low score because I have only been playing for a short while." As I said this out loud, I rated how much I really believed this to be true,....Then I tapped until it was a "o" and my new self talk was, "I am good enough to shoot a low score any time I want,"....After that, I went on to another self talk. "It is impossible to play in the 70's." Again, saying this out loud and rating where I feel it in my body as well as how much I truly believe this. Then I tapped it away as well. I did this with a number of my self talk issues and went to play golf...

This is what happened.....   My friend showed up and as we were getting ready to start off, he suggested that we play best ball. (This means that we both will hit but we play the best positioned ball, and score.) I did not put two and two together until half way through the first 18 holes. I realized that together we shot a score of 70 and we didn't stop there, we then played on to a total of 36 holes and our score stayed in the low 70's every round.

My wrist was injured a week before this and was giving me pain but I just tapped it away and went on playing like the pros. I chipped in 3 or more times from off the green from about 20 to 40 yards away. I would just say out loud, while tapping on my collar bone, "I don't know why I need to get my putter out, I'll just chip it in." I didn't make all the chips, obviously but the ones that did miss were very close. Oh, my putting was spot on as well!

All in all, it was pretty awesome golf day. My friend played very good as well, as the atmosphere was pretty incredible...We only stopped playing because it was getting dark,....6 hours later Cool

Thanx for reading...Enjoy your day/evening!

I've had great success reducing golf scores by mentally and emotionally taking golfers step-by-step through their game. As negative or racing thoughts arise, we tap until the intensity is down to a 0 or 1. I also have them tap before a game as part of their mental preparation. Finding the emotional compenents to sustaining an injury is a must. Fear of reinjury, frustation, anger towards self or others are common among golfers.

How do I do it? How do I 'tap away' , as you call it, the racing thoughts and injuries?

Getting right to the point. I would contact someone qualified to teach you how to add MTT(meridian tapping techniques) into your routine. Tapping before each shot as well as before starting the day is what I do and teach. Simply, think of what it is that is holding you back from lowering your score, let it sink in, feel it in your body. Then start with the reversal....."I can't lower my score because I am afraid to succeed,I do not want to be a show boater, I do not deserve it, etc." (find one that fits you best)Then do a round or two on how bad you are, how you suck at this game, etc. Then move on to some positive phrases and so on until you are feeling an overwhelming happy feeling in your body, such as tingling, or hair raising on your arms, etc. However, this will take a little longer than your partner would want to wait on you,(kinda like waiting on Garcia to hit the ball), so I suggest doing this before the game, maybe in your car, that is what I prefer. That way my thoughts do not get in the way. In any case, choose a phrase or word that fits the situation (keeping it short)and during your routine tap it in. Tap in a positive statement then hit the ball right away, before your mind can wonder. By the way, there are many more tricks to tapping in a lower score so if you really want to improve, try someone who has the expertise with using MTT for golf. Well that's all I have for you at this time. Let me know how this improved your score and I will share more :) Joe Oliver Creator of the "TAP" Apphttp://www.MyPhotonBuddy.com
